WHO’S SAMMY?

“Sammy had a beautiful heart and those who knew him saw a light in him that is rare to see. His sport was soccer and he had a passion for it. He had a competitive side to him that pushed him to do his best. He loved to play. We loved to watch him play. The joy on his face after a game was inspiring, win or lose, he was such a good sport. His death devastated our entire family. The outpour of love and support from so many friends and strangers, helped to lift us up, and through that generosity came a desire to give back in honor of Sam. Sammy's grandfather, who had already been trying to help make sports a better experience for kids, felt pushed to take it even further, and the Sammy Wilkinson Memorial Foundation was formed.”
