Sammy Wilkinson Memorial Foundation
The Sammy Wilkinson Memorial Foundation was established to honor the memory of Sammy Wilkinson, an Ocean City, Maryland native. Sammy, the grandson of National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) founder and president, Fred Engh, had a passion for sports and a strong desire to help others.
For many of us, some of our best childhood memories revolve around playing sports. Sadly, millions of children in regions around the world are deprived of that opportunity. They are unable to reap the joys and benefits of playing sports. Without sports in their lives, these children often turn to drugs, alcohol, or sex to fill endless hours of free time. Idle time equals idle minds and The Sammy Wilkinson Memorial Foundation is raising funds to change this.
All donations made to the foundation will help give children around the world a chance to play sports and experience what Sammy loved by providing financial support to the Global Gear Drive program and Game On! Youth Sports initiative that was created by NAYS.
